5-Day Lisbon Itinerary: Historic Streets, Coastal Views & Portuguese Food
Day 1 - Arrival in Lisbon
Arrive in Lisbon and check in to your hotel. Spend the afternoon getting to know the city by exploring Baixa and Praça do Comércio before walking through the atmospheric streets of Alfama. Stop for your first pastel de nata during the day and enjoy traditional Portuguese food for dinner.
Day 2 - Belém & Lisbon's Historic Centre
Breakfast, start the day in Belém, visiting the Jerónimos Monastery and seeing the iconic Belém Tower. Spend the afternoon exploring Chiado and Bairro Alto, then enjoy dinner in one of Lisbon's traditional restaurants.
Day 3 - Sintra
Leave Lisbon after breakfast and take the short train journey to Sintra. Spend the day exploring the colourful Pena Palace, the historic centre and Quinta da Regaleira, known for its beautiful gardens and mysterious underground passages. Enjoy lunch in Sintra before returning to Lisbon in the evening for your final night in the city.
Day 4 - Cascais & Estoril
Check out after breakfast and make your way towards the coast. Stop in Cascais to explore the charming old town, marina and beaches before continuing along the coast towards Estoril. Enjoy fresh seafood for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing by the Atlantic before checking into your hotel in Cascais.
Day 5 - Cascais & Departure
Enjoy a relaxed final morning in Cascais. Take a walk along the waterfront, visit Boca do Inferno and enjoy one last Portuguese lunch before collecting your luggage and heading back towards Lisbon for your journey home.
