Kiku (聴く) means "to listen". It listens to the music on your phone, finds the beat and the melody, and builds the notes itself: four lanes, taps and holds, falling towards the line. Every song you already have becomes a new level.

Made for the Flight

Long flights, train rides and places without signal are where Kiku shines. Songs are analysed on your phone, never on a server, and the result is saved, so a song loads at once the second time. No internet needed, ever, once your music is there.

  • Works fully offline: pick any MP3 on your phone and play
  • Easy, Normal or Hard, and three lengths: Quick (1:00), Normal (2:30) or the whole song
  • Timing calibration for your headphones, so every hit lands right

Four Letters, Four Lanes

At the bottom of the screen, four bubbles spell K I K U, one for each lane. Now and then a letter falls instead of a note, always in its own lane. Catch all four by the end of the song and your score gets a 10% bonus.

  • Perfect, Great and Good with early and late feedback
  • Combos up to x4 and FEVER, a grade from S to D, and your best score for every song
  • 12 app colours, 9 note shapes and 12 note colour sets, all in Options

1 vs 1 With Your Travel Buddy

Sitting next to a friend? Challenge them over Bluetooth, no internet needed. One phone picks the song and sends it to the other, then you both play it at the same moment, with live scores.

Ten Free Songs, Ready Offline

Kiku features ten songs by Minoh Kayano Station. Download them once before you leave and play them anywhere, or open Listen mode to hear them as an album without the game, lyrics included, also with the screen off.

We're Looking for Beta Testers

Kiku isn't open to everyone on Google Play yet. It's in a closed test, and Google only lets it go live once enough beta testers have kept it installed for 14 days in a row. If you'd like to help, join below, keep it on your phone for two weeks, play now and then, and tell me what you think. Thank you!
