Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi, check in to your accommodation and take some time to settle in. Begin exploring the Old Quarter, wandering through its narrow streets filled with shops, cafés and street food stalls. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple before enjoying your first Vietnamese dinner.
Day 2 - Historic Hanoi
Breakfast, start the day at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex and visit the Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh's Stilt House. Continue to the Temple of Literature. In the afternoon, explore the French Quarter. End the day with a traditional Vietnamese meal or a street-food tour.
Day 3 - Ninh Binh
Breakfast, take a day trip to Ninh Binh, enjoy a boat ride through the scenic landscapes of Trang An or Tam Coc, passing between dramatic cliffs and through peaceful waterways. Visit a local village or climb to a viewpoint for panoramic views before returning to Hanoi in the evening.
Day 4 - Local Life & Hanoi's Food Scene
Breakfast, spend the morning discovering more of Hanoi's local neighbourhoods. Visit a traditional market and try some of the city's famous dishes. In the afternoon, explore West Lake and visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the city's oldest Buddhist temples. Enjoy a relaxed evening at a rooftop café or join a Hanoi food tour.
Day 5 - Final Morning & Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and spend your final morning exploring the Old Quarter, shopping for local crafts and souvenirs or relaxing at a traditional Vietnamese coffee shop. Depending on your departure time, enjoy a Vietnamese lunch before heading to the airport.
